I love bold color, but I’ll never turn away a chic black and white grid print — especially if it’s my favorite tunic length! It’s a modern-classic print I think every woman should own, and if you find it in a lightweight sweater fabric like this recent @violetabymangofind, it can be worn year after year, no matter the season. 👌🏼 I love how a top like this shows off my curves but looks great paired with skinny pants, making it my go-to casually cute date night look. 🤩 (I’m wearing a size 14 in the top and a 16 in the jeans, for reference). #sponsored #violetabymango #iamwhatiam #girlwithcurves #curvyoutfit #curvygirlstyle #curvygirlfashion #workwearstyle #officeoutfit

So excited to share the look I styled from Anthropologie’s new plus range, A+ by Anthropologie! I’ve been a longtime fan of the brand, and the expansion to plus is beyond exciting — it’s all the charm of Anthro. in sizes 16W-26W, available TODAY! 🙌🏼 I fell in love with this skirt as soon as I laid eyes on it. It’s not only super flattering and on trend for spring with its pastel color scheme, but it’s also the perfect solution for brunch or events like graduations and bridal showers in the coming months. Here, I paired it with a classic button down blouse, also from the new collection. Be sure to follow @anthropologiefor more updates. 👉🏼 Shop this look via the link in my bio (in all sizes!!) or http://liketk.it/2AuFf #liketkit@liketoknow.it — I’m wearing a size 16 in the top and bottom. 💗 #sponsored #aplusbyanthropologie #MyAnthropologie #girlwithcurves #pasteloutfit #curvygirlfashion #curvygirlstyle #curvyoutfits #curvyconfidence #curvyblogger

The sun’s finally out (at least in Cali 😎), so I’m bringing out my signature orange lip color! (It’s MAC Neon Orange) 🤗 Also, I have a hair appt today, and I always go darker to cover my natural golden-auburn (like my son’s), but I’m kind of liking my curls in this pic from a couple years ago when I let my color fade a bit. 🤔 Thoughts on keeping my curls lighter vs going darker, like always? 👉🏼 I go darker because my hair looks healthier/more moisturized when it’s dark. The struggle to keep my curls glossy and hydrated is very real, and to me it looks super dry when it’s light, so I’ve been going darker since I was 14! 😩). Would love your opinions though! 🥰 ALSO, I’m sharing some skincare tips over on the blog today concerning how to naturally boost the collagen in your skin by eating certain foods — I’m proudly 38 and love using natural remedies to keep my skin looking fresh and “youthful,” aka moisturized + supple. 👌🏼 #girlwithcurves #girlwithcurls #taneshahair #orangelipstick #curlyhairstyle #springmakeup

One of my favorite styling tricks from the 90’s is wearing a shirt under a dress. Not only does this styling trick add dimension to the overall look, it also lets you wear short sleeve or spaghetti strap dresses if you’re a conservative or modest dresser. 🤗 The key to making it work is to wear shirts that have a slimmer fit through the body, so they don’t bunch and add bulk underneath the dress (and make sure to tuck the shirt into your shapewear so it stays put!). Sweaters or turtlenecks can also work, as long as you get the right fit. I personally love putting a playful bow neck blouse underneath a spaghetti strap dress like I did here — it adds a vintage touch I can’t get enough of! 😍 More of this look is over on the blog today at GirlWithCurves.com and as always, you can find links to shop in my bio. #girlwithcurves #taneshastyle #mididresses #modestoutfitideas #styletip #modestfashionista #curvygirlstyle #curvygirlfashion #curvyblogger #springoutfits #classicstyles

Happy Friday all! Let’s talk about shopping, shall we?! While I love to shop and typically do 100% online, I find myself having less and less time in general, which puts online shopping way on the back-burner. 🙈 Luckily though, my @stitchfixstylist has my back! For those of you who aren’t familiar with Stitch Fix, think of them as your partner in personal style: A personal styling service that delivers a box of style to your door, in the form of clothing, shoes and accessories. The best part is YOU decide when you want a Fix (aka styled box). Here’s how the service works: after filling out a style profile online, one of their 3,000+ fashion experts handpicks pieces that fit your likes + needs, and sends you a styled box of items you can wear together, along with an easy guide on different ways to pair everything together. You then have 3 days to try on the pieces and decide which to keep, and those you don’t love can simply be sent back — shipping is free both ways. Also, BONUS: they cater to the whole family, including men’s, women’s, plus, petites, and kids starting at size 2T! 🙌🏼 Sharing my latest fix in my story, along with a link to try the service for yourself. #sponsored #stitchfixinfluencer #mebystitchfix #girlwithcurves #workoutfits #workoutfitideas #workwearstyle #workwearfashion #curvygirlfashion #curvygirlstyle #curvyoutfits #curvyconfidence #curvyblogger

Thank YOU ALL for the birthday wishes in my last post!! 😘🥰 Is anyone else ready for spring?! It’s been so cold in the Bay Area, I’m honestly craving warm weather so I can wear dresses like this again! 🤗 I know, I know, 58 doesn’t count as cold, but if you’re a Californian that’s freezing! #spoiled😂Where do you live and how cold is it right now? Hello, 38! 🤩 #RealTalk, GETTING OLDER IS THE BEST THING EVER! Here’s why: I turned 38 yesterday, and I honestly think this is the first birthday ever that I’ve truly embraced getting older, wholeheartedly! At 38, I consider every experience an opportunity to learn vs. good or bad. I finally feel at peace within myself, knowing that I’ve found my own definition of balance, when it comes to eating healthy while still thoroughly enjoying what I’m eating. At 38, my body isn't perfect but it's mine. It’s carried two healthy babies into the world, gets me through each and everyday, and for this I’m grateful. I’m finally able to enjoy downtime, which is something I’ve struggled with for many years. In the past, if I wasn’t working I wasn’t happy, because time off meant I wasn’t working toward my goals. At 38, I know that downtime is a must, because it allows me to breathe, reflect, and most importantly, step away from the noise and just BE. (And I thoroughly enjoy letting TV shows take over my weekend! Currently watching Siren – a must if you’re mermaid obsessed like I am, This Is Us – major emotional rollercoaster everyone can relate to in some way or another, and SVU, of course!). At 38, I recognize the importance of relationships like never before, and I know the one I have with myself sets the tone for how I prefer others to treat me. I can’t say I love the physical effects of aging, but I do love the fact that they don’t bother me like they used to. I’m much more in-tune with my body than I’ve ever been, enjoying a new found love for stretching and yoga, which I hope to make more time for, because it feels amazing! At 38, my career is headed in the exact direction I want it to. I’m confident, in control, and I’m just getting started. 🤗 PS - this look is linked in my bio. #girlwithcurves # #positivenergy #bayareablogger #curvygirlfashion #curvygirlstyle #modestfashionista #trenchcoats #berets #curlyhairstyle #classicstyles

Saturday’s with my favorite girl, in our pajamas. 🥰 More of us playing with filters in my story + much more of her in my Minnie highlight. At 14 months, her favorite form of play is dress-up — of course, she always goes for the colorful scarves and dramatic hats! Although I fully accept and embrace my natural curls, I struggle with dryness, damage from constant coloring, as well as frizz. So when I say I’ve tried almost everything, I mean EVERYTHING. And my fellow curly girls know that when it comes to finding products that actually do what they promise, the struggle is very REAL. 😩 Which is why I’m beyond excited to have finally found a conditioner that’s changed my hair in all the ways I’ve always wanted! @Dove’s UltraCare Concentrated + Moisture Creme Conditioner is a major game-changer for adding shine, definition, as well as moisture, which helps reduce overall frizz. It’s formulated with Micro-Conditioning Complex, especially formulated for thick, dry, damaged (aka color-treated) hair like mine. It leaves my curls smooth, shiny and soft to the touch, which is something I haven’t ever been able to achieve — highly recommended if you’re looking for a conditioner to help minimize tangles, frizz and promote moisture! 🤩 #dovepartner #TaneshaHair #curyhairstyle #curlyhaired #curlygirljourney

In all my years as a style blogger — 8 to be exact! — denim has always been the one garment I find toughest to fit. No matter what size you are, having curves makes it almost impossible to find jeans that fit, which is why when I come across a great pair, I feel it's my duty to share. 🤗 These skinnies are my latest denim find, and they're under $25! They're 1 of 90 different styles from Sofía Jeans by Sofía Vergara, available exclusively @walmartin size 0-20. Not only do they fit + feel amazing, but the fabric and quality are really impressive at such a budget-friendly price-point! 🙌🏼 More pics, details + links are in today’s post over on GirlWithCurves.com + you can shop this look via http://liketk.it/2AcBE #liketkit @liketoknow.it (I’m wearing a size 16, for reference!) #sponsored #walmartfashion #SophiaJeans #girlwithcurves #curvyblogger #curvygirlfashion #curvygirlstyle #curvyjeans #skinnyjeanswoman #hipsdontlie

#RealTalk, how is it almost March, which means my birthday is coming in a few days 😱?!! Despite lots of positive personal and business developments in the past few months, life is incredibly busy, and I don’t know about you all, but I’m struggling to stay motivated lately. 😩 The good news is though, that I’ve dealt with these feelings before, and while not easy, I do know the way out of this rut! 👊🏼 So if you’re also a superwoman trying to do it all — as many of us are — I encourage you to stop and recalibrate before you hit complete burnout. Here are 3 things I’m planning on doing to re-set: 1. Get Centered - Whether it’s creating a morning or nighttime relaxation ritual, taking time to listen to a podcast, audiobook, or doing something you love, like spending time on Pinterest or stretching (my fave!), make yourself a priority again. Even if you have kids running around, try to find at least 15 to 30 minutes before they wake up or after they fall asleep, to take some time for yourself. 2. Start Moving - Remember those wellness goals you set for yourself earlier this year? Check in on your current routine to see if there’s a way you can take even better care of your body. Self-care is a surefire way to heal burnout and prevent it from happening again. 3. Reflect - Remind yourself of your strength + confidence and draw upon the tools you’ve learned for building them up! Write down what you’re thankful for, as well as any pain points you’re experiencing, in addition to ideas for how you could alleviate those stressors. I hope this helps someone out there, because you aren’t alone! ❤️ #girlwithcurves #positivenergy #wellnessisajourney #curlyhaired #neckscarf #vintageinspiredfashion #orangelipstick
