Finisher by the birthday girl @ddark35🎂 End of workout burn. 20 reps of each exercise. Three rounds. 1. Battling Ropes - Alternating Waves (40 total) 2. Split Jumps 3. Bicycles (two elbow taps = 1 rep) Rest for one minute > r e p e a t > twice. It’s called a finisher for a reason. It’s exhausting and taxing on the central nervous system. I like leaving the gym sweaty and with my heart beating out of my chest - FINISHED!

Here’s your workout: Do 4-5 rounds of 10 reps per exercise. • Dumbbell Bench Press (upper body push) • Dumbbell Thrusters (upper+lower body push) • One Arm Row (upper body pull - 10 reps each side) I did all three exercises with 30lb dumbbells. Here’s the truth: Nobody’s gonna do it for you. It’s gotta start with a flame deep inside of you that you fan every damn day. No one can convince you. No one can do the work for you. I learned this lesson early in life. There are no shortcuts to your dreams. Work hard and then work harder. Take an obstacle and let it MOVE you to be better than anyone could have ever imagined, day in and day out. Decide if it’s worth it. And then SHOW UP. The key to my success: K. I. S. S. 💋💋 Keep It Stupid Simple. I train a fraction of the amount of time I used to train and I’m in the best shape of my life. I get in the gym, FOCUS, go hard as hell, and keep it SIMPLE. • Here’s a simple routine you can do with a Kettlebell. Four moves. That’s it. 1. Single Arm Overhead Push Press. 2. Heavy Russian Twists. 3. Single Arm Overhead Snatch. 4. Single Arm Overhead Walking Lunge. Do each exercise 10 reps per side. Do AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) in 20 minutes. Notice: this workout forces your body out of balance with unilateral work >> great core conditioning. PRO TIP: Have a gym that’s easy to get to because convenience breeds habit. I use @crunchtribeca. INTUITIVE EATING 🔜 ABS I am constantly asked to share my eating habits with my followers and clients. I have experimented with many styles of eating and "diets" over the years. I have also spoken to many clients and professionals about their experiences. What I’ve landed on and what’s been working the best for me is eating intuitively. • For me, the more rules around what I can’t have or when I have to eat, the less likely I am to be consistent. I’m at my best when I’m not over-thinking the process and I’m listening to my body. THAT is when I feel my happiest, my leanest and my BEST. • I believe that at the root of healthy habits is intuition and mindfulness. Of course there are other guiding principals, but begin with things like honoring your hunger, rejecting the diet mentality and respecting your fullness. THAT is a great place to start. It can be hard for us because we live FAR away from other! • It’s sometimes hard to believe that we started in the farmlands of KANSAS! 🌾🌾 • My brother John and his partner of 13 years (Stephanie) just moved to Playacar, Mexico with their two dogs and two cats. • My brother Bryan moved to Thailand over ten years ago and recently moved from Krabi to Chiang Mai. • My parents moved to the Dominican Republic over ten years ago, spend their winters there and their summers in their RV. Next stop: ALASKA! • My sister is currently spending the entire month surfing in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. • My babe, @jenniford1fits right in as she loves this nomadic lifestyle just as much as the rest of us. M E X I C O ✌🏽 🇲🇽. Had an adventurous few days south of the border. My awesome little brother bought a house in Playa del Carmen and lives here now. We spent a few chill days at his pad and Tulum, then we explored the two nearest Islands. • Cozumel was a quick ferry ride. We skipped the town and headed for Chen Rio on the east side - super chill and beautiful. • Isla Mujeres is a small Island easily explored by golf cart in one day. We had the most delicious lunch and swam with the locals on the east side ! ☀️🌴💦 • Where’s your FAVORITE beach? Tell me below.

Simple Poolside Partner Workout 💦 Here’s what we did In my brother’s backyard: • 5 Push Up Salutations. Stretch up tall and get a good stretch in your hamstrings as you fold over. Walk out to a high plank. Do one more push up each time down, ending with 5 push ups. Jen did modified push ups. • 10 Glute Bridge + Tricep Dips. One Person holds a glute bridge while the other does 10 tricep Dips. Switch and repeat. Keep hips as high as possible! • 20 Fighter Sit Ups. Four punches each time you sit up! 20 reps. (Pay attention to Jen’s punches 😂💕) • 10 Alternating High Knees + Burpees. 10 rounds (each person goes 10 times). No partner? Do 10 high knees + 1 Burpee 10x. •Jump in a pool if possible 🤣🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ You don’t need a pool to do this workout. In fact you don’t need anything but a buddy! I introduced myself as a “former pro athlete” for years, mourning my identity. I’ve spent my 30s and 40s figuring out who I am outside of my “work”.
