Feeling I N S P I R E D + S T R O N G 💗💪🏽🚀 Here’s three moves to add to your routine: • Seated Cable Row - working the muscles of the back - late and rhomboids. This is an easy exercise to get right. Sit up tall and pull. • Hex Bar Deadlift - awesome full body lift working your Glutes, hamstrings, core and traps. Form is very important. • Med Ball Rotational Scoop with Shuffle - athletic movement + rotational power exercise = tremendous core exercise. ➖ It can be hard to know what to do in the gym. I get it. It’s taken me years of education and experience to consider myself a good coach. ➖ I have several coaching programs that can help you feel and look good + help you feel comfortable in a gym. ➖ LIFTED4W is a program that incorporates strength training, meditation, nutrition and recovery with the right mindset. In last weeks Holly Life blast, I talked about holiday season commitments and holding yourself accountable to your goals. I’m not saying you cannot indulge in a little holiday treat, but it is important to sweat a little each week so you are not digging yourself out of a hole come January 1st. Just putting in a little work now will go a long way! One of my favorite tips is to work out with a partner so you both can hold each other accountable to your goals, and most importantly, HAVE FUN. I always love working out with Jen. She is positive, motivating and most importantly, we have so much fun together 💕. . . . In this weeks workout, we used two 12lb dumbbells (feel free to use whatever works for you). Do 10 reps of each of the following exercises: • Squat. • Renegade Row. • Deadlift. • Curl+Press. . ☠️2-3 rounds. It’s only a crazy dream until you do it. ⚡️ For the past month these high school athletes have been working hard - committing to dreaming bigger and training harder. • We discussed the importance of training our bodies and minds for our sport and for life! We talked about teamwork, nutrition and being BRAVE! Tonight we’re celebrating our hard work at NIKE HQ with these special kids from The Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn - and my squad from Harlem 👊🏽. • I can’t tell you how great it feels to give back and help these kids reach their dreams. Dream a CRAZY dream! ⚡️🏀⚡️ It’s almost an indescribable feeling. It’s something like tens of thousands of hours of hard work reflected back to you in a moment. THAT is what it feels like to see my face on a @nikebillboard in New York City. As a kid I dreamed of playing pro basketball. I dreamed of putting on my Nikes and showing the world what a 5’4 girl with a ton of heart (and a work ethic to match) could do. My days on the court may be over. But I’m just getting started. Do 10 reps of each of the following exercises on your right side and then do the left side. Repeat 2-3 x 😎 • Single Arm Snatch. • Single Arm Overhead Reverse Lunge. • Single Arm Thruster. • Single Arm Bent Over Row. I’m sure this trip wouldn’t be for everyone - but for us it’s heavenly. Epic surf, delicious food and simple luxury at @harmonyhotelEco-resort. Here’s a typical day: 5:50am - wake up for 2 hour surf session🏄🏼‍♀️ (baaaaah that was hard today) 9:00am - big breakfast 🍳 ☕️🍉🍌🥑 11:00am - massage or yoga 🙏🏽 12:00 - naps and pool time 💦 3:30pm - 2 hour sunset surf session 6:00pm - dinner 🥗🐠🥦🌽 8:00pm - cocktails + watch our shows (currently Mars on @natgeo) 🍹🍹👵🏼👵🏼 •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• I’ve dreamt of finding this kind of love and actually enjoying the same things is a fairy tale. Surfing Life Lessons 1. It’s never as big as it looks when you’re in it. If I look back too much I psych myself out. Get into position and just go for it. 2. It’s that moment when you hesitate that you miss the whole thing. When things start to fall into place, don’t sabotage it with hesitation. So what if you take a nosedive. At least you tried. 3. There’s a lot of waves in the ocean. Don’t spend too much time thinking about the ones you missed. Just look for the next one. . 🏄🏼‍♀️. I learn so much about myself in the water. It’s meaningful play.

My parents are in their late 60s and super active - they walk, swim, hike and take amazing road trips. Where you are is not who you are 💫 When injury ended my basketball career I felt a loss of identity. I was lost and depressed. I was forced to figure out who I was outside of my accolades. I continue to remind myself that I am not my body, accomplishments, failures or successes. They are just part of my story. • In my coaching programs we discuss the importance of self care and self love - independent of the data from which we often measure our successes. We will be strong, weak, happy, sad, up, down, winning and losing always - that’s LIFE. Deep down you gotta like who you are. You gotta walk away from a loss believing you’re a great player.
