#bbg2019 #bbgprogresssweatandsparkledaily says “ I’ve always started back with workouts as soon as I’ve gotten clearance from my midwives. There’s something about spending a little time each day doing something that I enjoyed before having children that makes me feel like myself, when I’m 💯 in a caregiver role. Lots of ladies have been asking if there are any foods I've just HAD to have during pregnancy. Honestly, there are more foods that I just DON'T want to eat. These include grilled fish, asian greens and anything that can cause reflux because mine has been SO bad. I am still eating lots of watermelon but that's always been my favourite! Often what you DO or DON'T feel like eating is your body sending you a message. LISTEN to your body! It knows what it needs. www.kaylaitsines.com/app

One of my favourite tips for staying motivated is to WRITE IT DOWN. Whatever your fitness goal is or even a favourite motivational quote, write it down or print it out. Put it everywhere you will see it. Great places are a bathroom mirror, fridge door, pantry door or even on your computer screen! It will be a reminder to yourself to keep going and not to give up when you feel like quitting. https://www.kaylaitsines.com/blogs/lifestyle/17089819-my-top-4-tips-to-keep-yourself-motivated

I've been practicing religiously on a similar planning for 3 months and my health has improved drastically. I have a question though. I do each BBG session with warm up movements and cool down. I'm recovering from a back injury and years of unfitness... I'm much much slower than the time indicated. It takes me about 1h15 for the 2 sequences done twice with warm up and cool down. I manage to do it all. Is that OK or should I limit the whole thing to 28mins? In that case it'll only fit the warm up and cool down and 1 or two movements... which is very frustrating... Your insight and help would be greatly appreciated!

@the.flo.show It’s so great to hear you are taking your time with recovery and moving in a considered way 💪🏼 Absolutely keep going with your longer workout modification - make it work for you and your body! As you progress, you may find that this improves over time 🙌🏼💛

Ladies, real talk. Each of us internalise SO many thoughts and conversations, some of which are really hard. From the outside looking in, it's impossible to see what other people are thinking and feeling. I wanted to touch on this topic and talk about something that I am currently going through. How many of you ACTUALLY like/liked being pregnant during all stages of pregnancy? I honestly feel so lucky to be a woman and be able to bring new life into the world. It's incredible what the female body can handle and continue to be amazed how my body is growing and changing to. I am so excited to finally be meeting her SOON..but have I enjoyed being pregnant? As a trainer and someone who enjoys being very active, initially I struggled with the concept of not training and doing the things I’m used to. I also had so many different internal conversations that relate to this journey that I am sure the #bbgmumsout there can relate to. There is so much uncertainty with pregnancy, especially if its your first time and for me this is. Thinking "What will my body feel like AFTER I give birth?" "When will I be able to train again and feel comfortable?" "Will everything be ok?". I love my baby body and am so grateful to have had such a life changing experience. It's opened my eyes and allowed me to see things from a different perspective. But ladies, it's been a mentally, physically and emotionally challenging time in my life and I am sure all women with children or who are soon to have, can relate. Am I excited to get back to training the way I love? As soon as I have clearance from my doctor, YES absolutely. Not only for my sake but to give my baby girl a STRONG, FIT and HEALTHY role model from day one. I am so grateful for this journey and look forward to all stages of it, but the important message i'm trying to send here is that everyone goes through these emotions regardless of whether they relate to pregnancy or not. The feeling of uncertainty or insecurity or even a little fear. The most important thing to remember here is it's not just about the hard times and hard conversations you have internally, but its how you deal it. #thoughtswww.kaylaitsines.com/app

I believe a really IMPORTANT lesson to learn, is to enjoy the pleasure of your own company. To be able to spend a day, alone, doing the things that YOU like. Whether it's taking yourself to the beach, a cafe, or just relaxing. Spend time to touch base with you and how YOU are feeling, mind AND body. Use this time to reflect on whats happening in your life. Ladies I know it's not always easy because we are all busy, but this is just another form of self care, no different to a workout. I LOVE listening to #podcastsin my alone time which is sometimes just going for a walk. Right now I'm tuning into 'Dr. Death', it is SO interesting, I definitely recommend it!!! I had 2 FULL hours of alone time last week and I felt SO refreshed afterwards. You will too!!! www.kaylaitsines.com/app @discovermnl

People often ask me for tips on #nutritionand the best place to start whether you're pregnant, new to fitness or just wanting to improve your knowledge is to understand the purpose of nutrition and what it means. The SIMPLE definition of nutrition is providing your body with the required nourishment for health and growth, it is how food affects your body’s health. @dooleleanne There aren’t currently programs available in the @sweat app that have been tailored specifically towards women who are pregnant. However, Kayla has shared a couple of great articles on her blog with her recommendations for exercising whilst pregnant! Search ‘pregnancy’ in the search bar at kaylaitsines.com/blogs/news to find out more!💧

[[WARM UP]] Attention, pregnant AND not pregnant ladies. I cannot express the importance of selecting the WARMUP option in the @sweat app PRE workout. Warming up is KEY in preparing both physically and mentally for your workout, it can help your body to move better and it can reduce the chance of an injury. 😊Within the #sweatapp you will find a choice of three different warm up types to complete before you jump (literally😂) into your workout! Cardio: low-intensity cardio, such as walking, cycling, running or rowing. Movement: dynamic stretches and movement preparation-type exercises. Cardio & Movement: this is the one I recommend selecting if you can! Short on time? Don't worry. Each routine is ONLY approximately 7 minutes long 😁 and is so worth taking the time. . www.kaylaitsines.com/app

Do you have exercise sets which specifically target the pelvic floor muscles?

@by_dhalia Not specifically, however we do have other programs such as @kelseywells Post-Pregnancy program in the @sweat app, that could be suitable 😊 Head to the App Store or Google Play to find a free 7 day trial! 🙌🏼

I'm going to let you in on a PREGNANCY tip I wish somebody had told me about...DO NOT buy any NEW shoes with laces hahaha. I am not sure I understood how MUCH effort it was to tie shoelaces with a human growing inside you. I am currently just wearing slip on APL's and AloYoga slides because they are the easiest option for me (and so comfortable). What's your go-to shoe brand for PREGNANCY or NON PREGNANCY? #commentbelow www.kaylaitsines.com/app

I purchased the old version of bbg that you Downloaded and had to print out - I’d like to get the app, but do I have to pay for it all over again?

@lj90b The @sweat app and Kayla’s BBG eBooks are separate purchases. You can find out more about Sweat at kaylaitsines.com/app 😊

Little weekend celebration for #NATIONALPUPPYDAY💛I love this video so much haha! What’s your alternative to jump lunges if you’ve got knee injuries and pains? @kayla_itsines

@elaina_mls Regular lunges will be fine, however we recommend speaking with your health care professional to determine whether the modifications will be suitable for you, personally 💕
