Ah, the elusive #muscleup. Equal parts dynamic strength, coordination and skill, Muscle-Ups can be a significant benchmark in an athlete’s training. For that same reason, trainees will often abandon stepping stones that would delay their achievement. Progressions are more than a proverbial right-of passage: they’re the cornerstones of movement efficiency. This isn’t a tutorial— but if your Muscle Up resembles any of the ‘bad idea’ videos, these demos might save you from unnecessary injury or grief. 💭 Trainees should actively avoid ‘chicken winging’ during a muscle up- miscoordination of elbow alignment when transitioning from the pull-up to dip. People often treat this common pattern as an acceptable ‘phase in conditioning’, instead of out-right poor form. Not only does chicken-winging result in ugly reps, but it produces undo sheer force on the entire shoulder girdle. 💀😩 NEVER #chickenwing, your rotator cuff and labrum will thank you for it! 🐓💪🏻🤷🏻‍♂️
